Okay, I know I’m back already.

Blogging is a weird thing to me. It seems like when I start communicating with the outside world on such a large scale it is all but impossible to flick the switch back to reality. So here is another quick post…

I restarted netflix this week, and needless to say I’m pumped. The dvd-watching bug re-hit me as of Thursday when the girlfriend and I sat down to watch “Finding Neverland.” Good flick, not great but good, but it reminded me of all the things film can do. It can make you think, cry, dance, quote and evalute your life and what you are doing with it. As I sat at work that next day staring and my badass 23″ HD monitor (sorry, had to brag a bit) I was a little depressed considering all I was doing at work that day was starting the update process for all 20-some computers we have. Important…maybe, boring…hell yes.

So I re-signed up for the glory that is Netflix. So far I’ve dropped somewhere around 80 flicks in my queue, which is just a few right? right…

First up is a Truffaut classic, “400 Blows,” which I’ve never seen and probably look like a complete elitist naming dropping…but oh well, it looks good. I also snagged “I Heart Huckabees.” Sorry I can’t make the “heart” symbol, but I think you get the point. I’m looking forward to checking out a bunch of new and old flicks in order to re-engage myself with all things cinamatic.

Man I used to the prefix “re” somewhere around 7 times this post. Can you tell I’m a little frusterated with my lack of productivity….

Anway, I hoping that getting back into watching a lot of really great films will act as some catalyst for my creative juices.

Until next time (which could very well be in 30 minutes :)
