Hello Everybody…Coming at you live from somewhere…

All righty, I’m back. I’m sitting in the basement of the Union attempting to work on this paper I’m writing for Pop Culture of the ’40s. So far the paper is nothing more than a thesis, and about 6 sources. I know, I know the blog title is about the lack of apathy, however…I suck. It is the end of the semester and I just can’t seem to get motivated….oh well.
So I’m sitting down here attempting to work. Instead I’m downloading the latest episode of Scrubs over bit-torrnet (fun), and listening to the a couple middle aged men talking about producing one of their films. Now keep in the mind the setting. They are sitting a coffee shop in the middle of a college campus discussing the writing and producing of this film that so far involves (from my eavesdropping) a casino, a female cop, indians, scalping, a cop being shot with a bow and arrow as well as raiding said casino. Lord, I pray that I don’t end up this depressing and disappointed. Just found some newfound drive to shoot a couple of short films this summer….I just have to find a way to get my schedule to mesh with Rumback’s in order to get some writing done.
Speaking of short films, Buck, my technology master has placed a copy of our one and only short film online at the request of Gordo. Buck’s site goes live in a couple of weeks, so be sure to check it out…especially since it should be filed with hilarity.
So anyway, if you’re bored check out the Backseat. This produced for the iMovie film fest @ KU, and was edited on iMovie….subsequently the audio, and image quality are a little iffy but I think the story gets across. The flick stars Rumback as the driver, and Zach Mendenhall as the passenger, as well as Harper in a special guest role. Needless to say it was a fun, yet stressful shoot and I would really like to do something akin to it this summer. Cross your fingers.
Other than that, not a lot happening ’round Mattville. Working to finish up school, just restarted Netflix which I’m pumped about. I’ll be sure to post more about the netflix experience as I start getting back into the pattern of “watch and mail, mail and watch!”
Planning on going to the watch the Royals and Twins duke it out in KC tonight, which should be a blast. One of my favorite teachers from High School will be throwing the openning pitch due to his badass broadcasting skills. He is being honored as radio broadcaster of the year by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. Way to kickass Rusty!
Until next time…
p.s. Check out the side bar as things have changed….SoundsGood rocks my socks…
