There are few things in life that cannot be fixed by an evening of & via my Twitter feed.

New phone is here

August 26th, 2005 | Filed under Technology

So, I got the new phone last night and needless to say I have been very impressed with ease of use t-mobile/amazon.com offered throughout the transaction. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up the phone considering all I had to do was install the SIM card, wait for a text message containing my new number (temporary), and sync my phone with my Mac.

The only hiccup in the process was receiving the package from UPS. I’ve received my fair number of packages, whether electronics or the mounds of promo items I received as the Apple Campus Rep for KU, and I have never been happy with the UPS customer service. I had to call a number to have them hold a package in the evening for me to pick and when I went there I had to stand in line in the warehouse and watch the employees fumble for my package. Fedex , however is always very easy to deal with, always holds my order for me, has an office for late night pick ups and an always courteous staff. A-list blogger, Kottke, suggested going with UPS when dealing with Amazon.com orders instead of USPS, but I think even the lovely postal workers of America would be a better choice than UPS. Needless to say, I’m a Fedex guy from here on out.

Anyway, my current phone number is temporary as I’m in the process of switching my number from Sprint (Nextel) to the T-Mobile, so if you have some dying need to get in touch with me email me for the new number.

Got some great posts coming up, new reviews and hopefully some new camera phone pics. Stay tuned.
