Necesito bueno television.

October 24th, 2005 | Filed under General

The girlfriend and I just finished Season 4 of The West Wing this weekend, and all I can say is it is some damn good television. The emmy award-wining show proved once again that good plots and good writing conquers all others, including the plague of humanity…reality television. Unfortunately, the fifth season of the political drama doesn’t come out on DVD until December 6th, so we are left without a current television series to “netflix.” So noble readers, I need an idea for a television series to get into. I know I talk trash on TV all the time, but there is good content out there, it is just really hard to find.

So please leave some ideas of good television in the comments of this entry and I’ll post the results of our little informal survey. The only requirement is that the show must currently be available on DVD.

p.s. Shows that are already off the list include: The Simpson, 24, Friends and Sinfield for various reasons.

p.p.s. Click on the “comment” at the bottom of this post to weigh in….please?

    Futurama.

It won’t take you long, but I recently watched the first season of Lost, and loved it. Season 2, airing now, is not so great, but it’s only 4 shows in.

Besides that, try The Kids In The Hall for a few laughs.

I would say the British comedy Spaced (2 seasons) is right up your alley, but it’s not available on Netflix. I’ve looked. You should check it out on imdb, though.
