Genius behind Facebook

November 18th, 2005 | Filed under Business

If there is a Web 2.0 revolution happening, then Mark Zuckerberg would probably have to be my hero. I found this article via the blog of the really great guys from 37 Signals. Anyway, it is basically a bio-piece about Mark being the CEO of facebook.com and how he is refusing to sell the business right now. Props to him. Check this quote:

“I know that Facebook’s valuation is higher now than it will be a year from now, but I don’t care. I suspect it won’t be this high for four years. I’m in this to build something cool, not to get bought.”
-Mark Zuckerberg

That right there sums up why I’m loving Web 2.0‘s hopeful departure from the things that caused the .Com crash in the 90s. So, keep up the good work Mark, and would you please accept one of my facebook invites?????

p.s. Check out Buck‘s site as it actually has changed….looks a little familiar considering the current topic!
