Ugly Sweater Party

I love my friends. Not only are they great people, but sincere and hilarious as well. Considering we all live within about 60 miles of each other, we tend to get together ever so often especially around the holidays to say hi, drink some beer and make fun of each other…particularly if someone has a new significant other. This year was no exception as the girlfriend and I, with ugly sweaters in hand, made the trek up to KC for the 1st annual ugly Christmas sweater party.

So, I apologize for the current lack of photos (here they are), but I was too lazy chatting up both new and old friends to run around yelling “cheese” at everyone. Hopefully Layne and Laura will hook me up with some more photos soon! Mr. Marion from Chi-town was in attendance and snapped this group picture of the Hutchinson delegation at the party (we took another more complete one later in the evening).

The only problem with the photo is that you can’t see our (especially mine and Mendenhall’s) lovely sweaters. We picked them up over a week ago at K-Mart, on sale, in the women’s department. Interestingly enough, ever male at the party had purchased their sweater from the women’s deptartment. Need I saw more? Incidentally, two other dudes at the party independently picked up the same sweaters from K-mart that Mendenhall and I did. So much for being original!

p.s. The girlfriend actually made her own sweater. Needless to say she is way more creative than myself. Later.
