There are few things in life that cannot be fixed by an evening of & via my Twitter feed.

Why now?

This (link) sucks. While I don’t even pretend to be an expert on Israeli or middle eastern politics, from what I can surmise Sharon was attempting to reform the country with a new political party that could finally bring a more moderate government to Israel. While listening to the NPR Morning Newscast (the perfect length for my 5 minute drive to work) it sounds like Sharon will not be able to return to politics due to severe brain damage. Once again, this sucks. It seems like whenever someone attempts to make inroads for a lasting peace in the region something like this happens. As a a presumably ignorant American, half a world away, I guess all I can offer are my thoughts and prayers…so that’s what I’ll do.

until next time…courage.

Here are a couple other discussions on the matter: link and link.
