We’ll miss you Max

Wednesday marks the last home game for Jayhawks radio announcer Max Falkenstien who has been broadcasting KU games for the past 60 years! Max has been like a dear old friend to the Jayhawk faithful during those games where you’re forced to listen to the game in the car, or for me this past season since I’ve been doing without the TV.

I really can’t imagine listening to a KU b-ball game without hearing Max, as he has become almost an institution here in Lawrence. Hopefully the Jayhawks can have some kind of post-season success in for no other reason than to send Max off right. He’s already broadcast 2 national championship and countless Final Four matchups…why not give him another.

Thanks Max, for bringing your zeal and enthusiasm of KU sports to literally millions of people.
