I caved.

After all my pontificating about how you didn’t need cable tv, that a combination of the Internets and netflix could fulfill all of your entertainment and news desires….I signed up for “limited basic cable” today.
I’ll be completely honest with you about this one. The storms this past weekend in Lawrence really kind of shook me up and I had an insatiable desire to know what was going on around town and the radio just wasn’t delivering that to me. So, now I’ll be able to get my local (and nation) news that I’ve become completely addicted to, plus it is the last season of the West Wing and I want to watch the final couple of episodes as they come out. :)
Of course I’m already incredibly disappointed with the cable co. because I assumed that the they would just flip a switch down at their magical headquarters and I’d have cable tv…so I could watch Scrubs tonight…however they won’t be getting here until Monday. Eh. I guess I should be more understanding, considering all of their crews are probably working to restore service after the storm.
So, now that I’m dipping my toe back into the world of television, any show suggestions? I’m upgrading to “limited basic,” which means I’ll only be getting the first 30 or so channels so keep that in mind with your suggestions.
Until next time…courage!
