A White House of “Yes Men”

July 12th, 2006 | Filed under Links, Politics

Check out this video of the Acting Assistant Attorney General Bradbury testifying before congress. Watch the Video.

My favorite part is the following quote:

LEAHY: Was the President right or was he wrong?

BRABURY: It’s under the law of war –

LEAHY: Was the President right or was he wrong?

BRADBURY: The President is always right.

We live in interesting times when officials from the AG’s office are testifying that the President is, in fact, infallible. Honestly, can the White House and its cronies get anything right these days?

OMGoodness! You really need to read “Conservatives without Conscience” by John Dean! It addresses the high number of “yes (wo)men” in the right, as well as those who not only are authoritarians, but cross the bridge into fascists. And it bashes Pat Robertson, which is always nice. :)

I love the book because, unlike other conservative (and sadly, some liberal) authors, Dean actually addresses the science behind the conservative mindset and how it threatens the nation. Mmm, science. Oh. Wait. Am I allowed to say that in Kansas?

Thank for the book recommendation…I just requested it from the lovely Lawrence Public Library.
