Best. Record. Store. Ever.

An expose went up on Lawrence.com saturday talking about running independent record stores here in Lawrence, KS. The article talks about Keifs Record store downtown as well as the best. record. store. ever. Love Garden Sounds.

This is about the only place I purchase music these days, including new/used records and cds. If you live in Lawrence or the surrounding area I suggest you check out the store and be sure to say hi to the cats while you’re there.

  • I love the cats! The best thing about Mass Street is that some owners bring their animals to work with them–there’s a furniture/decor store that has a dog that I just love! But my absolute favorite? The cat at the Sunflower & Outdoor Bike Shop! He’s so cute–especially in the summer, when they give him a lion cut! :)

  • That furniture/decor store (the Winfield House) is actually where Teressa works, and the dog that you speak of is Duke (he is the most well-behaved dog ever). Oh and the cat at Sunflower is adorable.

I’m working on a write-up explaining RSS because a couple people have asked (including those at laugks.org) for an explanation. Thanks for keeping me on my toes.
