MBP is on the way!

While I had every intention of purchasing a Macbook and thus saving some serious coinage, I couldn’t pass up this sweet deal on a refurbished MacBook Pro. This way I don’t have to upgrade every part in the machine and I’ll be able to run all of my pro-apps right out of the box.

It was put on the truck yesterday for delivery but it looks like the Fedex driver ran out of time, so cross your fingers that it shows up today!

Also, I need to come up with a good name for my first new mac in 6 years….be sure to post any suggestions in the comments. I still like Dave’s idea of naming his macs after BSG spaceships, but so far I can’t seem to come up with anything original for my new precious.

p.s. Before everyone starts to suggest that I’ve struck it rich let me preface your comments by saying that this splurge was almost entirely funded by selling older stuff on ebay. While I love receiving the payment for things on ebay the waiting while something ships makes me so nervous that I thought the gf was going to commit me while I refreshed the tracking page. Luckily I could use a widget for the MBP.
