We asked for a mini-van
…and ended up with a tank. We had intended to rent a mini-van to pick up Teressa’s mom and Co. from the finish of this year’s Bike-Across-Kansas. However, when we got to Enterprise the nice guy at the desk opened with “would an Expedition be okay?” It was a little tight compared to the van but we got the weary bike riders home no problem. Although, Teressa and I couldn’t stop laughing from the absurdity of us driving an Expedition down i70. I’m looking at getting a Yaris before the fall, and here we are driving this tank!
I complained all weekend about “not having a van,” but I couldn’t really argue with the “Jack Bauer” factor of having the Expedition. I kept looking under the back-seat for the stockpile of tracking devices, communications gear and firearms for our trip home, but alas, we didn’t get the CTU edition. :)
The Wesley Wedding
My old roommate, Jonathan Wesley, had a lovely wedding this past weekend and of course he invited all of us old roommates. Being that we’re a bunch of ruffians we proceed to eat all of his food, drink all of his beer and generally have an all around swell time. And if you knew Jon at all, you’d know he wouldn’t want it any other way.
So go ahead and click on Ben and check out photos of the rest of the old Arizona St., Station and Court House tenants…trust me it’s a flash back if there ever was one. I love weddings of good friends, I can’t help but smile the whole way through.
Congrats Jon and Kristi!
p.s. It was a Luau theme for the reception…hence the leis.
Saturday in the Park

You know you’ve both graduated when the height of saturday night entertainment is going to the park, listening to a military band butcher goodman songs, eating ice-cream and playing scrabble.
