Thanks for the advice. I was actually looking at that book last week, but I wanted to see it in my hands...of course Borders in Lawrence doesn't have it. Anyway, I ordered last night, so hopefully it will get here soon.

Thanks for the advice, and as far as the date goes it's not a server problem it's some new weird wordpress bug. It's displaying the date for all comments as the day of the original post, instead of giving each comments it's own time and date. Time to go trouble shooting, and thanks for the catch. ;)

I have had that same camera for a little over a year now, and as far as advice...anything but perfect lighting/distance, Use a tripod. The book that I keep with me at all times is called "The Digital Photography Book" by Scott Kelby. Its got great instructions, but the best part is the last 20 pages or so, it show various pictures and a little description as to how to recreate the exposure. That way in a pinch you can just thumb through the pics till you find one that fits your needs and then you know immediately what you need to do to get the shot. You know me, i don't like to wait for anything. I am really itching for a lens upgrade, thats suppose to make the most difference. Anyway, basically your in for a lot of pissed off photography sessions. Good luck!
